Ray is an experienced competition and cross country glider pilot. He has represented Australia at the most recent world championships in Poland, and was selected again for the 2020 world championships in France, which was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid.. He has been gliding since the tender age of 15, and has accumulated 1700 gliding hours.
Ray is an aeronautical engineer with his own business in commercial aviation, and previously worked for Boeing and Airbus in the UK and USA before moving to Australia. Ray has found a good base amongst a group of Australia’s top glider pilots at the Kingaroy Soaring club.
