The Model Aeronautical Association of Queensland is the peak state body representing around 60 Queensland aeromodelling clubs. Our member clubs and affiliates are represented nationally by MAAA and in turn affiliated to the international sport aviation body Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) through the Australian Sports Aviation Confederation (ASAC).
MAAQ provides for its members through MAAA:
- public liability, personal injury, and executive insurance.
- a framework of rules and regulations for the safe operation of model aircraft.
- an access pathway to enter national, international, and world championship competitions.
- recognition by CASA as a model aviation authority.
