Brisbane Airshow - Ross Parker

Ross Parker

A boyhood dream to fly began its path to reality when Ross entered the RAAF Academy at Point Cook after finishing high school. After five years of university and pilot training, his first operational role was flying Caribou tactical transport aircraft throughout Australia, Indonesia and PNG. This was followed by a further five years on B707 and BAC1-11 aircraft in No. 33 & 34 VIP Squadrons.
Ross moved from military to airline flying in 1986 and relocated to Hong Kong to fly B747 and B777 aircraft with Cathay Pacific Airways for more than 30 years.
He has been involved with warbird aviation for 20 years and is the proud owner of a North American T-28 Trojan and the iconic Australian Wirraway, and with 45 years in aviation and over 23,000 flying hours, his passion for flight is as strong as ever.
